Mechanical Engineers

Are you an experienced mechanical engineer seeking new opportunities?

On behalf of our clients in the West Coast of Norway, People Haugesund is continuously seeking skilled mechanical engineers for permanent hire to our clients, where you will be given the chance working with exciting projects within the oil and gas, renewable energy, offshore and subsea sectors. 

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects for the development of new systems and products.
• Experience with both mechanical and general constructions.
• Design and verify solutions through technical studies and testing.
• Participate in all stages of projects.
• Provide technical support to sales during meetings with clients.
• Assist with technical documentation for proposals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Process, Mechatronics, or Product Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the maritime industry.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to lifting and handling.
• Familiarity with DNV 2.7-1, 2.7-3, and NORSOK standards.
• Experience with CAD systems, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
• Excellent English skills.
• Understanding and experience with finite element method (FEM).

• Good communication skills and enjoys working with others.
• Structured and precise.

The position will be located just outside Haugesund, with Stavanger also a possible working location.
